At Fuego all our services and activities aim to place our clients in the best possible position when they are faced with a fire emergency and we therefore cannot overemphasise our insistence on compliance with acceptable, fire standards, fire codes, local regulations as well as best practice guidelines enforced by OEM’s.

There is an exhaustive list standards and sub standards that may apply to a specific fire risk scenario, suffice to say however, that at Fuego we strive to comply at all times and in the least but in no way limited to the following standards and guidelines.

  • National Building Regulations
  • All applicable SANS Codes
  • Insurance Underwriting Requirements
  • Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau (ASIB)
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
  • Factory Mutual Guidelines (FM)
  • Original Equipment Manufacturers Guidelines (OEM)
  • Any formal Codes of Practice that Clients are obligated to comply with

  • Requirements of testing and approval bodies:

  • Factory Mutual (FM)
  • Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
  • Loss Prevention Council (LPC)
  • National Fire Prevention Authority (NFPA)
  • European testing and approval Authorities that have jurisdiction on fire protection equipment and Systems
  • Acceptable testing and approval authorities in any other country that has jurisdiction over equipment used in Fuego designs
